My dogs are sleek and slim March 15, 2010 Cecilia Wu (seattle, washington) The squirting mechanism is very handy, much better than breaking fish oil capsules (my previous method). As a result of a few squirts a day, my old bassett has gotten sleeker and slimmer, like a seal! Our puppy likes it too, it makes the kibbles very tasty.
Great product! Loved it from day one!! February 15, 2010 E. Asfahl (Arkansas) I've used this product for almost 2 years now. I have two English Springer Spaniels, one with a few skin allergies. I do believe I noticed a difference in his dry, itchy skin. Also, I always get compliments on how full and beautiful their coats are.
It does make them smell a bit fishy right after they eat but that subsides after approximately 20-30 minutes. Plus they absolutely LOVE it!!! The short time of fish-breath is definitely worth it to me.
Smells Horrible January 26, 2010 ds Although this product is probably effective for its intended purpose, it has a horrible smell.
We have two miniature schnauzers and their beards inevitably pick up some of the oil. The smell is so strong that the dogs and the house reek hours after feeding. Immediately after feeding their breath is intolerable.
The bottle is dated 4/11 so freshness is not an issue ... glad we didn't buy a larger bottle.
We're now looking for a flaxseed oil product for pets ... same Omega-3, Omega-6, DHA and EPA benefits without the stench.
A good product January 16, 2010 N. Browne I bought this based on the reviews for my female black lab puppy (7 months old). I put about 1 squirt per cup of food since the recommended dosage would be outrageous (about 10 pumps per day). I must say, she did not like it at first and was a little hesitant at her food bowl. But after a few hours, she ate the food, and has continued to do so. I haven't noticed any results yet, but it's almost too soon to tell (~5 days). I wanted to try the oil after her Derm Caps that the vet prescribed to us ran out. She took those fine, chewed them up and swallowed them with little prodding, but I saw no improvement in her coat or scratching after 2 months. I'm willing to give this a try since she is eating it mixed in with her food, and hopefully it'll help the longer she uses it.
One dog will eat; the other won't January 10, 2010 Sandy M (Clearville, PA) I have two dogs. The female has some skin issues from thyroid problems. The male has some hair loss. I bought this to supplement their food and hopefully to help their skin. The male will eat the food that has it in, but the female won't. It's too early to determine if it has helped, but it looks like it is high quality.

Vitamin Supplements
There are a number of essential vitamins
that the body needs to function properly and it is possible to take
these in the form for vitamin supplement. The majority of people do not
have a balanced diet and they may be lacking in certain vitamins which
means that they require a vitamin supplement to ensure that they do not
have a deficiency of an essential vitamin. A health professional or
dietary technician is the best person to give advice on any vitamin
supplement that a person should take. It is important to seek
professional advice before taking any vitamin supplement. This is
because there are some vitamins that can be toxic if too much is
consumed and a vitamin supplement may not be appropriate if there is
enough of the vitamin already in the food a person eats.
Some categories of people may require more types of vitamin supplement
than others. Vegetarians are often deficient in certain vitamins that
are only found in animal products, for example, and a vitamin supplement
is the ideal solution to this problem. Vegetarians do need to be aware
that some vitamin supplement manufacturing processes involve animal
products and it is important for them to read the labels. A large number
of synthetic vitamin supplement products are available which will enable
a vegetarian to take them without contravening their dietary beliefs or
needs.

Children will often need a vitamin supplement, especially when they are
extremely young. This is because a lot of children do not eat a
sufficient variety of foods in their early years and a vitamin
supplement can help compensate for this natural deficiency. Breast
feeding has long been recommended as a source of all the essential
nutrients but women who choose not to or are unable to bottle feed may
be concerned as to whether their baby needs a vitamin supplement. The
large majority of baby milk formulas contain additional vitamins to
prevent the need for a vitamin supplement to be given. It is important
to discuss any concerns over the need for a baby or child to take a
vitamin supplement with a health professional to ensure that the correct
solution is found.
Elderly people or those suffering from certain diseases or illnesses are
other groups of people that may need to take a vitamin supplement. The
body may often need a vitamin
supplement to compensate for a person not
being able to consume the recommended daily allowance of certain
vitamins through their normal diet.
