it works July 14, 2010 Tracie Claflin I recently purchased this product and it does in fact work very well. I was hesitant at first but was at a point in which I would try anything to help my sinus issues.
I am very happy that I purchased it and would recommend it to anyone.
Please read before you comment... July 8, 2010 Robert S. Tobias (Arlington, VA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
First of all, Neti Potting :) is a good thing. It is a great way to clean out our sinuses without resorting to drugs or chemicals. (Save for a bit of buffered salt and some water.)
Also, this Neti Pot works OK but has a few issues. First, it really isn't unbreakable. It's not even that durable. It's actually made of pretty thin plastic. The reason for the "unbreakable" reference is that these things were originally ceramic. If you let one go in the bathroom, where you would most likely be when you're using it, there's all kinds of things it can land on and just about all of them would cause a ceramic pot to shatter. This, being made of thin, light plastic would survive any household fall. However, if you should step on it, or even if a small child or reasonable sized dog should get their hands or teeth on it the the unbreakability goes out the window.
The second issue is that it's not just thin plastic but two halve of thin plastic joined together. That creates a couple seams along the entire surface, including the part you stick in your nose. With the pot I received it's about as smooth as it can get and still feels a bit uncomfortable.
The third thing is that the nozzle is a bit small and it can be difficult, at least for me, to get a good seal. Finally, the pot only holds enough water for one side and you need to fill it twice for each session.
On the plus side is the price and having a bunch of salt packets included.
However, if you *know* you are going to enjoy the benefits then it might be worth consider the Stainless Steel Neti Pot for Sinus Congestion (Ayurvedic JalNeti) instead. It has none of the issues listed above and will certainly last a life time. The alternative would be to get the SinuCleanse pot first and, unless you have a very small, very tough nose, wind up getting the Stainless Steel pot a few weeks later. (I'm speaking from experience here...)
It works, but it's not enough July 7, 2010 P. Shyvers (Santa Cruz, CA USA) It does the job as described, but unfortunately my nose is too set in it's ways.
1) After only a few hours, my left nostril goes back to it's stuffy ways. Slightly improved, but not by much.
2) My right nostril is so defiantly blocked, I sat for several minutes 'in the position' over the sink, but nothing came out. Apparently that nostril is watertight, explains why I can't breathe through it. (why fluid could enter, but not exit, this nostril has me confused)
After using this, my left nostril felt pretty good so I can tell that this does work. However, I may need to bring in the big guns for this particular nose.
LOVE IT July 3, 2010 E. S. Dunn (wyoming) It really works. I use it almost everyday, more often when I am getting a cold or have sinus problems.
Neti Pot Works July 1, 2010 Samson Freivogel (Pensacola, FL) This little item works better than I thought it would. It's easy to use, and it washes out the gunk immediately. It works better than nasal sprays, which tend to make you clogged up worse after the spray wears off, so to speak. I think everyone with congestion problems should get one.

Vitamin Supplements
There are a number of essential vitamins
that the body needs to function properly and it is possible to take
these in the form for vitamin supplement. The majority of people do not
have a balanced diet and they may be lacking in certain vitamins which
means that they require a vitamin supplement to ensure that they do not
have a deficiency of an essential vitamin. A health professional or
dietary technician is the best person to give advice on any vitamin
supplement that a person should take. It is important to seek
professional advice before taking any vitamin supplement. This is
because there are some vitamins that can be toxic if too much is
consumed and a vitamin supplement may not be appropriate if there is
enough of the vitamin already in the food a person eats.
Some categories of people may require more types of vitamin supplement
than others. Vegetarians are often deficient in certain vitamins that
are only found in animal products, for example, and a vitamin supplement
is the ideal solution to this problem. Vegetarians do need to be aware
that some vitamin supplement manufacturing processes involve animal
products and it is important for them to read the labels. A large number
of synthetic vitamin supplement products are available which will enable
a vegetarian to take them without contravening their dietary beliefs or
needs.

Children will often need a vitamin supplement, especially when they are
extremely young. This is because a lot of children do not eat a
sufficient variety of foods in their early years and a vitamin
supplement can help compensate for this natural deficiency. Breast
feeding has long been recommended as a source of all the essential
nutrients but women who choose not to or are unable to bottle feed may
be concerned as to whether their baby needs a vitamin supplement. The
large majority of baby milk formulas contain additional vitamins to
prevent the need for a vitamin supplement to be given. It is important
to discuss any concerns over the need for a baby or child to take a
vitamin supplement with a health professional to ensure that the correct
solution is found.
Elderly people or those suffering from certain diseases or illnesses are
other groups of people that may need to take a vitamin supplement. The
body may often need a vitamin
supplement to compensate for a person not
being able to consume the recommended daily allowance of certain
vitamins through their normal diet.
