Product Description
Dietary Supplement. Sodium free. Calorie free. Sugar free. Makes water into sports water instantly! Magnesium, Manganese, Potassium, Calcium, and Chromium. ElectroMix drink when prepared according to direction has a nutritionally balanced electrolyte composition ideal in sports waters. Since Alacer has no control over the procedures used to make the drink or the quality of water used, Alacer cannot assume liability for the quality of the drink mix prepared. Another high technology dietary supplement from Alacer. Makes water into sports water instantly! Nearly every living person is deficient in some of the electrolytes, especially is this true of Potassium. Potassium is by far the major element in the cell. Indeed, the healthy cell requires 20 times as much Potassium as Sodium. On the other hand, the daily intake of Sodium is 10 to 38 times the actual requirement. Thus, it is very important to get electrolytes with extra Potassium, which can help to overcome the excess of Sodium in most diets. So whether it's from your kitchen tap or some stylish European bottler, with ElectroMix you'll still get more benefits than from the average sports drink, while drinking water, the beverage your body wants, craves, and needs the most. ElectroMix tastes great, has a hint of lemon-lime, and comes with 36 packets per box. ElectroMix is an ideal addition to virtually any beverage, providing the electrolytes your body needs. 5 out of 5 stars Great taste, less filling   February 24, 2009
T. Myers (Beijing, PRC)
I have been using this regularly for the last 2 or 3 years. I use this in my regular commute on my bike several times each week. I also use it for other workouts and hiking. The summers are hot and humid where I live and I sweat like mad on my bike. I use this in my bike bottles as well as before and after. If I cycle several days in a row, I tend to get cramps. My anecdotal evidence is that this definitely helps with cramping, fatigue, and recovery.

It works for me because I don't like all the sugar in most sports drinks. It has a slight salty lemon taste when mixed in 1 litre of water. Sometimes I mix it with a little sports drink powder to give it some flavor without too much sugar.

5 out of 5 stars Sports drink for backpacking, swimming   December 29, 2007
A backpacker
Pros: Comes in easy to travel with individual packets for 32oz. Excellent for keeping hydrated for extreme sports such as backpacking the desert in summer heat and long distance ocean water swims.

Cons: Can be a bit bubbly/fizzy in the stomach. Only one flavor.

5 out of 5 stars Good source of electrolytes   November 17, 2007

This is good for people who just want the electrolytes without all of the sugar and artificial colors or flavors. I tend to drink water during the work out, then the mixed water when I am done with the work out. It seems to do the trick of replacing my electrolytes. I would recommend this for anyone who just want the electrolytes. There is no taste to the mixed drink. Tastes very much like watered down orange/lemon juice, which is an accurate description.

I love the flavor. I probably use 1/3 pkg for each water cup I fill. Don't know for sure if it's actually providing other benefits, but I will probably buy it again just because I like it. - and I haven't been sick so maybe that's a good thing.

Vitamin Supplements

There are a number of essential vitamins that the body needs to function properly and it is possible to take these in the form for vitamin supplement. The majority of people do not have a balanced diet and they may be lacking in certain vitamins which means that they require a vitamin supplement to ensure that they do not have a deficiency of an essential vitamin. A health professional or dietary technician is the best person to give advice on any vitamin supplement that a person should take. It is important to seek professional advice before taking any vitamin supplement. This is because there are some vitamins that can be toxic if too much is consumed and a vitamin supplement may not be appropriate if there is enough of the vitamin already in the food a person eats.

Some categories of people may require more types of vitamin supplement than others. Vegetarians are often deficient in certain vitamins that are only found in animal products, for example, and a vitamin supplement is the ideal solution to this problem. Vegetarians do need to be aware that some vitamin supplement manufacturing processes involve animal products and it is important for them to read the labels. A large number of synthetic vitamin supplement products are available which will enable a vegetarian to take them without contravening their dietary beliefs or needs.

Vitamins: Calcium Ascorbate, Ester-C K-Mag, Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin K1, Vitamin O, Multivitamins.

Children will often need a vitamin supplement, especially when they are extremely young. This is because a lot of children do not eat a sufficient variety of foods in their early years and a vitamin supplement can help compensate for this natural deficiency. Breast feeding has long been recommended as a source of all the essential nutrients but women who choose not to or are unable to bottle feed may be concerned as to whether their baby needs a vitamin supplement. The large majority of baby milk formulas contain additional vitamins to prevent the need for a vitamin supplement to be given. It is important to discuss any concerns over the need for a baby or child to take a vitamin supplement with a health professional to ensure that the correct solution is found.

Elderly people or those suffering from certain diseases or illnesses are other groups of people that may need to take a vitamin supplement. The body may often need a vitamin supplement to compensate for a person not being able to consume the recommended daily allowance of certain vitamins through their normal diet.
